Specialty Care
Substance Use Treatment in Conyers, GA
We provide confidential, nonjudgmental treatment for adolescents and adults affected by alcohol or substance use, at both the outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care.
Treating the reasons, not just the behavior
Our services focus on understanding the underlying factors that contribute to substance use while helping clients build healthier ways to cope with stress, trauma, emotional pain, cravings, and environmental triggers. Substance use rarely exists on its own. It frequently sits alongside anxiety, depression, grief, or unresolved trauma, and treating only one half of that picture tends not to hold.
We understand that recovery is a personal process. Our team meets each client with compassion, dignity, accountability, and respect. That includes clients who are ambivalent about changing, which is a normal starting point rather than a disqualification.
Services may include:
- Comprehensive substance use assessments
- Individual counseling and group therapy
- Family education and counseling
- Motivational interviewing
- Cognitive behavioral interventions
- Relapse-prevention planning
- Trigger and craving management
- Recovery-support development
- Coordination with medical and community providers
- Continuing-care and aftercare planning
Choosing a level of care
Substance use treatment is offered at two levels. Outpatient care works well for individuals who are stable at home and need regular counseling, accountability, and relapse-prevention support. Substance use IOP provides significantly more structure, typically 3 to 5 days per week at about 3 hours per day for adults, and is often the right choice after a relapse, a crisis, or a residential stay.
An assessment determines which fits. Individuals who require medically supervised detoxification, inpatient hospitalization, residential treatment, or continuous supervision will be referred to an appropriate provider. We would rather make the right referral than admit someone to a level of care that cannot meet their needs safely.
Confidentiality you can count on
Privacy matters more in substance use treatment than almost anywhere else in healthcare, because the consequences of disclosure can reach into someone's job, family, and legal situation. We follow HIPAA and the federal confidentiality regulations that specifically protect substance use treatment records.
We also work regularly with referral partners including hospitals, crisis stabilization units, residential programs, courts and probation, DFCS, schools, and employee assistance programs. Information moves between us and those partners only with the client's written authorization, and only to the extent it is needed.
